"I have a long-held passion for the law. After working
in law firms for several years, I decided to become a lawyer, with the goal of
helping others and making a positive difference in their lives. My passion,
experience and determination will help me achieve my goals and those of my
Maria Lomeli joined Schneider & Onofry in the summer of 2014
after completing a distinguished academic career at the University of Arizona's
James E. Rogers College of Law. Her practice focuses on commercial litigation,
construction litigation, insurance defense and family law.
While in law school, Maria was an Articles Editor for the
Arizona Journal of International &
Comparative Law, received the Award for Outstanding Brief in Advanced
Legal Writing, and was a member of the Latino Law Student Association and the
Immigration Law Student Association. Maria also worked as a law clerk with the
Arizona Capital Representation Project in Tucson and volunteered with the UA Law
Student Legal Referral Clinic.
During her undergraduate years at Arizona State University,
Maria interned with Arizona Voice for Crime Victims.
Maria is fluent in Spanish and in Spanish legal terminology.
